March '10 in the Buenos Aires

Here art students sit outside the National Library creating their impressions of the building.

The architecture in Buenos Aires is distinctly divided by the military times which began in the 40's following "the Golden Years' of architecture from 1890 to 1939. This cubic concrete building is an example of the types of construction prevalent during the times of the military dictatorship.

Feels like fall. The leaves are changing and the air is crisp.

Tango is in style during any season. There are Tango shows with lunch or dinner, Tango shows on the sidewalks and pedestrian malls or in the theatres. Many have the lighting and wardrobe changes of a Broadway show. Our favorite is a dinner show at Cafe de Los Angelitos, http://www.cafedelosangelitos.com/

The best budget Tango show is at Centro de Cultural Borges, Viamonte y San Martin 50 (in Galeria Pacifico), 50 pesos. ph:555-5359, 8 pm.

A newly constructed bike path is popular with runners, bicyclists and dog walkers as well..

There are no homeless dogs in Buenos Aires, it would seem.
